CAIRO – 2 March 2023: EgyptAir took delivery of an A321neo from Airbus on Thursday to join the fleet of the national carrier.

The new plane, coming from France, arrived in the Cairo International Airport amid huge celebrations attended by Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmy and a delegation of the ministry’s officials.

EgyptAir has signed a contract to receive 7 A321neo planes. After the arrival of the new plane today, EgyptAir’s fleet has increased to 74.

The A321neo is the longest-fuselage member of Airbus’ best-selling, single-aisle A320 Family, comfortably seating 180 to 220 passengers in a typical two-class interior layout, and as many as 244 in a higher-density arrangement.

EgyptAir, Egypt’s state-owned flag carrier and a member of Star Alliance, is headquartered at Cairo International Airport, providing services to dozens of destinations in African, European, Asian, and American countries.
