CAIRO – 23 January 2023: Free wheelchairs were provided to serve elderly passengers at Misr Station, downtown Cairo, said Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport.

In comments to the “On My Responsibility” T.V. program on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, the minister confirmed that the Egyptian railway station was established in 1854, and the population of Egypt at that time was 4 million citizens, and the area of rail lengths was 400 km.

In May 2022: The Ministry of Social Solidarity announced Tuesday that the number of disabled students benefiting from the designated units at public units has hit 12,100.

The ministry-affiliated units had determined the needs of the students through surveys and focus groups, a press statement by the ministry indicated.
