CAIRO - 21 January 2023: The Law for the Protection and Development of Lakes and Fisheries, issued No. 146 of 2021, sets the rules for the practice of fishing boats and those working on them for their work, and sets binding conditions, including that the fishing boat must have a license, and that the fisherman obtain a fishing card. Withdrawal of licenses, including the establishment of an agency for the protection and development of lakes and fisheries.
 
And the legislation prohibits, in Article 29 thereof, throwing or placing solid objects or other things that impede hunting operations in the areas designated for that, and affirmed the refusal to plant reeds, rhizome plants, or others in hunting areas, or to fill in parts of them.
 
The law punishes those who violate the provisions of the previous article with imprisonment for a period of no less than one year and no more than three years, and a fine of no less than 100,000 pounds and not more than 500,000 pounds, and in the event of return or recurrence of the violation, the penalty will be doubled.
 
The law defines the objectives of the Authority for the Protection and Development of Lakes and Fisheries in the field of protection, development and exploitation of lakes, their gorges and their beaches, and the protection and development of fisheries and aquatic life. The limits of its competence if it would deduct parts of the lakes or their gorges or pollute their water after taking the opinion of the Environment Agency in this regard and establishing one or more joint-stock companies individually or jointly with others with the aim of working in the field of protecting and developing lakes and fisheries and exploiting them and setting up experimental projects and typical.
