CAIRO – 20 January 2023:  Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign affairs spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid described Lebanon's Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah statements on Egypt as “nonsense”.

Replying to an inquiry by MENA news agency regarding Nasrallah recent statements on the economic situation in Egypt, Abu Zeid refused to comment, as he affirmed that such statements are “nonsense”. And comes as “an attempt to recall fake heroism.”

In a speech on the 30th anniversary of the launch of Hezbollah’s affiliated Consultative Center for Studies and Documentation, Nasrallah called on observing the Egyptian economy, compering it to the economic conditions in Lebanon.

“I call on you to observe the economic situation in Egypt, the first country to sign a peace agreement with Israel, is Lebanon more important to America than it?” Nasrallah said.
