Egyptian president to participate in 'Abu Dhabi Summit' comprising Jordan, GCC countries

CAIRO – 18 January 2023: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi arrived Wednesday in the UAE to participate in a summit encompassing Egypt, Jordan, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, and that is aimed at holding consultations on international and regional security and stability.

 

The presidency's spokesperson indicated in a press statement that the president's participation in "Abu Dhabi Summit" is in the framework of Egypt's keenness on bolstering ties with neighboring states and consolidating mechanisms of joint cooperation.

 

In a similar context, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Tuesday at Al Itihadiyah Presidential Palace King Abdullah II of Jordan and Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas to confer over the developments of the Palestinian Cause as well as relevant regional and international updates.
