Sisi to meet with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister on Monday

CAIRO – 17 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with members of the Supreme Council for Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy at Heliopolis Presidential Palace on Monday.

The Council sets permanent plans, which should fulfill the state goals in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy and related agreements. The council is also assigned to propose and approve policies and projects for peaceful uses of nuclear energy and observe nuclear plants and their safety measures.

In October 2007, former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak approved the establishment of the Supreme Council for Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy. The Council is chaired by the president of the republic and includes in its membership top state officials such as the prime minister, the ministers of defense, finance, electricity, international cooperation, foreign affairs, environment, trade and industry, education and the general intelligence chief.
