President Sisi briefed on Egyptian delegation's visit to Tanzania

CAIRO – 25 December 2022: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met Sunday with Minister of Housing Assem al-Gazar who was part of the delegation that attended the inauguration of Julius Nyerere Dam, built by an Egyptian coalition in Tanzania, to learn more on the visit's outcomes.

 

The dam has been implemented by The Arab Contractors and Elsewedi Electric at $3 billion. The reservoir's capacity is 34 billion cubic meters, and that of power generation is 2,115 megawatts.

 

The minister also presented the executive status of the New Administrative Capital, and Walk of Egypt established on both banks of the Nile River. That is in addition to the ongoing renovation works of the areas of Cairo Aqueduct, and Maspero Triangle.

 

Further, the minister displayed the work carried out in collaboration with other entities to relocate the residents of the 15th of May City, who had been displaced because of floods. The goal is providing them with alternative houses in nearby Zohour Mayo City.
