CAIRO – 14 December 2022: State Minister of Emigration Soha el Gendy asserted Wednesday the depth of historic ties between Egypt and the UAE. This came during Gendy's meeting with members of the Egyptian community in the UAE in the Egyptian club in Dubai.

The minister pointed out her keenness in communicating on social media groups with the Egyptian ex-pats to stand on their needs and demands, adding that there were responses to several calls from the Egyptian ex-pats in these groups in Zimbabwe, Germany, and Australia.

Gendy reviewed all the efforts exerted to boost the strategy of communicating with the Egyptian ex-pats to achieve sustainable communication.

She tackled the efforts of the ministry to provide all the services and incentives presented to the Egyptians abroad on phone applications.

Gendy expressed her great happiness with her first visit to the United Arab Emirates after assuming the position, and the second stop of her foreign tours to meet the Egyptian communities directly.

She emphasized that one of her priorities is direct communication with Egyptians abroad and meeting their requests.

For their part, a number of attendees called for launching an awareness campaign about the rights and duties of Egyptians wishing to work abroad, and combating the phenomenon of free visas without work contracts, which causes great problems for them.
