CAIRO - 14 December 2022: Egyptian Minister of the Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, confirmed that the Russian war contributed to an increase in carbon emissions and climate change.

"There are enough crises in the world, and it is necessary not to mix cards with each other, as wars threaten the existence of humanity on the planet," Minister Fouad said.
  ‏
The Minister of the Environment referred to the call included in the opening speech of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh last month, to stop wars in all parts of the world, and to stop the Russian war, in order to survive on the planet, where he described it as a call for humanity and solidarity for the sake of Stay on the face of the earth.

Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad participated in the two largest global environmental conferences, namely the COP14 Biodiversity Summit in 2018 and the COP27 Climate Summit 2022, and today she is participating in the COP15 Biodiversity Summit to lament the activation of putting environmental issues on the priorities of political agendas.

This summit pins the hopes of the world on it, to come up with a framework for the biodiversity roadmap beyond 2030, which Egypt succeeded during its presidency of the previous session COP14 in drawing up and announcing a draft of this framework in the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Corona pandemic on the world.
