Egypt condemns deadly blast in Turkey's Istanbul

CAIRO – 14 November 2022: Egypt strongly condemned an explosion on Istanbul’s historic Istiklal Street that killed at least six people and wounded 53 others.

Egypt offers condolences to the families of the victims, wishing those injured a speedy recovery, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry stressed Egypt's firm position, which rejects all forms of violence and terrorism, whatever their causes.

It also underlined the need of rallying international efforts to confront terrorism in all its forms.

Al Azhar Also issued another statement condemning the explosion.

Al Azhar showed its solidarity with Turkey over this ordeal, stressing that targeting civilians is forbidden by all religious teachings and humanitarian principles.

It offered its condolences to the families of the victims and the Turkish people, and wished speedy recovery to the wounded
