CAIRO – 17 October 2022: The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue will continue to develop its agendas per the workplans submitted by the economic, political, and social committees, according to a Monday statement.

The Board of Trustees, which thanked President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for hundreds of presidential pardons in recent months, convened on Monday in the National Training Academy to continue with preparatory meetings preceding the discussion sessions. It also reviewed the profiles of the candidates nominated to participate in the National Dialogue discussion sessions.

The candidates were selected by the trustees, rapporteurs and their assistants, parties, civil society, NGOs, politicians, intellectuals, public and human rights figures, unions, research centers, and universities.

The board also tackled the workplans it has received so far on the political, economic, and social levels and the detailed proposals related to them.

The Board of Trustees’ 11th meeting comes as part of its “permeant convention” that was decided earlier to expedite the process of the National Dialogue.
