CAIRO - 11 September 2022: Egypt's Ambassador to Argentine Mohamed Kazem handed Argentinian Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Argentinian President Albrerto Fernandez to attend the world summit to take place as part of COP27 conference.


The world summit will take place on November 7-8 in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh.

Egypt looks forward to an active and effective Argentinian participation in a way that complies with the pioneering role of the country in preserving environment, the diplomat said.

On its Facebook page, the Foreign Ministry said the Argentinian minister expressed his country's support of Egypt and its confidence that the COP27 conference would be crowned with success and come out with hoped-for results.

The two sides discussed deepening political, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries and stepping up ligh-level visits between the two countries' officials.
