6th session of the National Dialogue Board of Trustees kicks off

CAIRO – 10 September 2022: The activities of the 6th session of the National Dialogue Board of Trustees kicked off on Saturday to complete the selection of rapporteurs and assistant rapporteurs for the sub-committee.
 
 
The Saturday session will also discuss proposals submitted by some council members to re-divide some of the committees.
 
 
Five days ago, twelve rapporteurs for the National Dialogue were selected Monday by the initiatives board of trustees.
 
 
Eight rapporteurs were appointed for the political department alone, and four others for the economic department and the community department.
 
 
Dr. Ali El-Din Hilal and Ahmed Kamel Al-Behairi were selected as rapporteur and assistant rapporteur, respectively, for the political department. Dr. Ahmed Galal (rapporteur) and Abdel-Fattah Al-Jabali (assistant rapporteur) we’re selected for the economic department. Finally, Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz (rapporteur) and Hania Al-Shalqami (assistant rapporteur) were selected for the community axis.
 
 
Meanwhile, for the political department, Prof. Nevin Massad (rapporteur) and Ahmed Ragheb (assistant rapporteur) were selected for the Human Rights and Public Freedoms Committee. Dr. Muhammad Safi al-Din Kharbush (rapporteur) and Representative Ihab al-Tamawi (assistant rapporteur) were selected for the Committee for the Exercise of Political Rights, Parliamentary Representation, and Political Parties. Samir Abdel Wahab (rapporteur) and Alaa Essam (assistant rapporteur) were selected fora the Town Council Committee.
 
 
The selection process, held at the National Training Academy, was presided by the National Dialogue’s General Coordinator Diaa Rashwan.
