Egypt, US naval forces conduct joint drills in Mediterranean Sea

CAIRO- 8 September 2022: Egyptian and US naval forces have conducted the "SOF-10" maritime training within the domain of the Northern Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea.

The several-day military exercise aimed to exchange experience between the two countries' naval special forces.

 

The maritime drills included execution of various activities that focused on exchanging operational position in the naval site of operations, as well as training on methods of synchronized work within a joint force, which is tasked with maintaining maritime security by confronting threats that may affect the flow of global trade and international freedom of navigation.

This military exercise comes within the framework of the plan of the General Command of the Egyptian Armed Forces to raise the level of training and exchange experiences with the armed forces of sisterly and friendly countries.
