KHARTOUM - 15 July 2017: The third annual general meeting of the African Parliamentarians' Network on Development Evaluation (APNODE) kicked off here Saturday with Egypt's participation.

APNODE Chairman Roger Mbassa Ndine attended the meeting along with Speaker of the Sudanese National Council Ibrahim Ahmed Omar and representatives of 20 African countries.

The Egyptian delegation taking part in the three-day comprises member of the parliamentary transportation committee MP Gamal Adam and member of the parliamentary human rights committee MP Dawod Soliman.

Adam told MENA correspondent here that the executive committee of the APNODE convened on Saturday to review the network's agenda, budget as well as other issues, noting that general sessions will be held on Sunday and Monday.

He further said that the APNODE aims at enhancing development and comprehensive growth in the African continent and supporting African parliamentarians to benefit from outcome of evaluating development.

The meeting offers an opportunity for posting the conferees on Egypt's experience in development and investment as Egypt is a pioneering African country in the score, Adam reiterated.

The Egyptian leadership, government and people welcome African and non-African investors to do bsuiness in Egypt, he underlined.
