CAIRO – 15 July 2017: The United States Embassy in Cairo, on Saturday, condemned the terrorist incidents of the two tourists being stabbed to death in Hurghada on Friday and the shooting that targeted a security checkpoint in Giza.

The U.S embassy twitter account cited Rex Tillerson as saying " "The United States has one goal: drive terrorism off the face of the Earth," combined with hashtag “#USSupportForEgypt.”

On Friday, one police officer and four conscripts were killed in a terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in Giza's Badrashin district.

Also on Friday, a knife-wielding man broke into a beach of the Red Sea town Hurghada and plunged a knife into the bodies of two female German tourists and injured others.

The injured tourists were transported to a hospital, while the attacker is currently under investigation, as a statement released by the Ministry of the Interior said on Friday.
