Egypt's new Minister of Higher Education Mohamed Ayman Ashour
CAIRO - 13 August 2022: The Egyptian House of Representatives approved on Saturday a partial Cabinet reshuffle that included 13 ministerial portfolios under the government of Mostafa Madbouli, including the Ministry of Higher Education
As per the reshuffle, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour will assume the post of the Higher Education minister, succeeding Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghafar.
Ashour had previously held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, and the position of Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs. Ashour's last position was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University and Deputy Minister of Higher Education for University Affairs.
He has received numerous awards from the state in the fields of architecture, communications and management.
