CAIRO – 27 June 2022: Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah al Sisi will embark in a tour, Monday that includes Oman and Bahrain to discuss the bilateral ties between Egypt and both of the two Gulf states, according to presidential spokesperson Bassam Rady.

He added in a statement, that the two visits come as part of the specificity of the Egyptian-Gulf relations, and what links Egypt to the ‘two brotherly countries’ in terms of cooperation at all levels.

Rady stated that president Sisi will hold discussions with both of Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik, and King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during his tour and that he will be discussing with both leaders the close bilateral relations that unite Egypt with the two countries.

The discussions will also include consultation and coordination on various regional and international issues and conflicts during the current stage, which require ‘concerted efforts to protect Arab national security’ and ‘confront attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of Arab countries and destabilize them’.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met on Sunday with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss the bilateral ties and regional and international issues, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement.

The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, CEO of Abu Dhabi Holding, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, and UAE Ambassador in Cairo, Ambassador Maryam Al Kaabi, Rady continued.

President Sisi welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed to Egypt, asking him to convey his greetings to President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Rady added.

Also, earlier this week President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who paid Egypt a two-day official visit. The two leaders held bilateral talks and discussed ties between both countries.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, visited Egypt as part of a tour earlier this month, which included Jordan and Turkey.

During the two-day visit, both leaders held bilateral talks that addressed the overall bilateral relations and a number of regional and international political issues of mutual concern.
