Duma ratifies dispatching air forces to Syria for 49 years

MOSCOW – 14 July 2017: The Russian State Duma on Friday unanimously ratified a protocol attached to the agreement of deploying Russian air forces to Syria for 49 years.

The protocol will allow the Russian air forces to conduct operation in Syria more appropriate, the Russian deputy defense minister said, adding that Damascus notified Moscow to complete all procedures in preparation for putting the protocol into effect.
