CAIRO - 7 June 2022: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, the President-designate of the 2022 UN Climate Change Summit (COP27), headed for Bonn, Germany, Tuesday to attend the 56th session of the subsidiary bodies of the framework convention (UNFCCC).

During the visit, Shoukry is scheduled to sign an agreement on Egypt hosting the COP27 in Sharm el Sheikh in November, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez.

The Egyptian top diplomat is also set to meet with a number of senior officials and parties concerned with global climate action, Hafez added.

Egypt is to host the COP27 on November 18, which will be a good chance to review the impact of climate change on Africa.
