CAIRO - 13 July 2017: The Egyptian Foreign Ministry deplored the twin terrorist attacks that hit Waza city in northeastern Cameroon that left at least 14 people dead and 30 others wounded.

In a statement on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry voiced Egypt's condolences to the victims’ families, wishing the injured speedy recovery.

Egypt affirmed the Egyptian government and people's support for Cameroon in face of terrorism, urging the international community to intensify efforts to confront terrorism and dry out its funding sources, the statement added.

Yesterday, two suicide bombers blew themselves up in a small town in northeastern Cameroon.

The attack was carried out by two women who walked into a busy area in the center of Waza, five miles (8 km) from the Nigerian border.
