Egypt’s President Sisi briefed on construction work of Islamic cultural projects in administrative capital

CAIRO - 12 May 2022: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was briefed on the ongoing megaproject in the administrative capital, during a meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Thursday, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady in a statement.

 

The meeting tackled projects of the strategic leadership headquarters, besides the architectural and construction works in the halls of the Egypt Mosque, located in Egypt Islamic Cultural Center. The mosque has a capacity of 107,000 worshippers and its minarets are 140 meters each. 

 

The center has a number of halls for various ceremonies, and chambers for teaching Quran to men, women, and children.

 

"The president was also updated on the designs of the House of the Noble Quran and a hall for the Prophet's collectibles in the house," Rady added.

 

In addition, the president was briefed on the progress of work in the network of axes in the Administrative Capital. He directed the concerned bodies to continue work on the ongoing projects according to the scheduled time and construction plan.

 

On February 8, 2021, President Sisi made a tour at the New Administrative Capital (NAC) to determine the executive status of a number of neighborhoods and establishments. During his tour, he visited the Egypt Islamic Cultural Center.
