CAIRO - 7 May 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has followed up on the executive status of various national projects in the fields of agricultural production and land reclamation.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Transport Minister Kamel el Wazir and Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el Far, Sisi was briefed on details of the agricultural and land reclamation projects, especially the Toshka area in Aswan, new delta in Dabaa as well as ventures in Beni Suef and Minya governorates.

The talks tackled ways of providing infrastructure and logistics for the agricultural projects, including roads, water supplies, modern irrigation systems and electricity.

The projects come as part of the state's strategy to increase the area of agricultural lands across the nation and develop the agricultural production sector and related food and agricultural industries with a view to achieving self-sufficiency of strategic goods.
