CAIRO, May 5 (MENA) - Secretary General of the Arab Lawyers Union (ALU) Makkawi bin Issa called on Arab and Muslim countries to immediately act to stop serious violations committed by the Israeli occupation at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement released on Thursday, Bin Issa denounced the continuing calls by Jewish settlers to raise Israel's flag and sing the Israeli anthem at the mosque's compound as being a manifestation of utter disrespect and disregard for the feelings of millions of Muslims.

He asserted that the Israeli occupation authorities showed the world that they do not seek peace and openly flout the resolutions of the international community.

The ALU secretary general praised the role of Palestinian Al-Murabitun and Al-Murabitat in preventing attempts by Jewish extremists to break into the third holiest Islamic shrine.
