Egyptian MPs meet with EU human rights envoy

CAIRO - 13 April 2022: The Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives met with the European Union’s special representative for human rights and the EU ambassador to Cairo on Tuesday.

The meeting, attended by head of the Human Rights Committee Tarek Radwan, EU envoy Eamon Gilmore, and EU Ambassador Christian Berger, tackled the role of the parliament in the national human rights strategy.

The meeting also touched on the amount of political, economic, cultural, and social achievements in Egypt in recent years.
