CAIRO – 11 April 2022: Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi followed up on Monday on the work flow of the projects carried out by the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority nationwide, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.

Sisi reviewed the executive status of the projects in a meeting with officials, including Ehab El-Faar, the chairman of the authority; and Amir Sayed Ahmed, president’s advisor for urban planning.

The meeting reviewed the workflow to restore and renovate the shrines of Ahl al-Bayt (the family of Prophet Muhammad) in Egypt, especially those belonging to Sayeda Nafisa, Sayeda Zaynab, and Al-Hussein.

The President urged upgrading the shrines in an integrated manner that includes the interior halls of mosques and their architectural decorations.

This should be carried out in a manner consistent with the historical and spiritual nature of the shrines along with the comprehensive development of services and facilities surrounding the shrines, including roads, squares and entrances leading to them.

The meeting also discussed the executive status of a number of facilities in the New Administrative Capital, especially with regard to engineering designs in Dar Al-Quran Al-Karim and the event halls attached to “Misr Mosque”.

The meeting also reviewed the work of linking the strategic leadership headquarters with the surrounding main roads and axes, according to the spokesman.

The President was also briefed on the executive position of the projects of the new roads and axes network across the nation in addition to efforts to achieve optimal use of the lands located on both sides of the main axes and roads and the establishment of integrated services therein.

Sisi ordered the highest degree of engineering expansion within the framework of the plan to develop vital axes and roads nationwide with the aim of achieving smooth movement of citizens, taking into account the highest standards of security and safety.

The president also urged sticking to the finest designs for the facilities located on both sides of the axes and providing them with all services.
