CAIRO – 5 April 2022: Article 2 of the Egyptian Health Council Law, which was approved by the House of Representatives and ratified by President El-Sisi, states that the Egyptian Health Council aims to regulate the fields of health in Egypt.

 

The law covers different areas with regard to medicine education in the country. The law includes areas of post-university education, specialized medical training, rehabilitation and development of the scientific and clinical level for physicians, and workers in various health specialties.

 

The law stipulates:

 

1- Developing the level of medical and health training for doctors and workers in various medical specialties and for graduates of medical and health colleges, and test them to verify that they meet sufficient qualifications for safe medical and health practice. This to ensure the improvement of health services in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in accordance with the state’s general health and medical policy.

 

2- Achieving integration and cooperation in the field of health training, between the council and the various scientific bodies and councils in the same fields of specialization inside and outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. This to achieve international standards for safe health practice, and to keep pace with the council’s scientific progress.
