CAIRO – 5 April 2022: Egyptian Ambassador to Portugal Wael el Naggar organized an expanded meeting at the embassy headquarters for representatives of 16 Portuguese tour operators, the president of the Portuguese Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism (APAVT), and its CEO on the one side, and the chairman of Air Cairo airline and the head of its economic sector on the other.
The two Egyptian officials took part in the meeting virtually from Cairo, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its official Facebook page on Tuesday.
The meeting touched on the possibility of re-operating a direct flight route between Egypt and Portugal and the best time during the year for its launch, the ministry added.
The two sides also discussed Egypt’s most popular destinations for Portuguese tourists.
