CAIRO - 5 April 2022: An electronic model allowing citizens to share their views about medical services they get at Health Ministry facilities has been activated.

The electronic model also allows medical school students and workers at health directorates to post their ideas about how to upgrade the health system in Egypt, said Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar in a statement Tuesday.

This is part of a state strategy to achieve the sustainable development goals and Egypt's 2030 vision, Abdel Ghaffar noted.

Activating this model reflects keenness of the Egyptian government to invest in the ideas of youth with the aim to upgrade health services, he added.

This model should serve as an electronic platform to share ideas and suggestions of youth across Egypt, Abdel Ghaffar said.

Assistant health minister for good governance Dr Mohamed el Tayyeb, for his part, said youth could post their ideas on the platform through this link: https://sites.google.com/view/health-innovation-initiative/mainpage.

All the ideas will be probed to determine whether or not they could be implemented on the ground, Tayyeb noted.

He added that owners of the ideas could very well participate in implementing them in real life under supervision of bodies concerned.

This is meant to use innovative ideas of youth and get them involved in upgrading the health system, Tayyeb made it clear
