CAIRO – 12 July 2017: The Arab League's permanent information and communications committee, an offshoot of the Arab relevant ministers' council, asserted on Wednesday its support to Palestine's bid to win a full membership of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

In its 40th session in Cairo under the UAE chair, the committee called on the Arab League Secretary General to follow up implementation of the ITU’s resolutions on Palestinian rights.

It urged the Arab member states to adopt a mechanism for applying resolutions no. 99 and 125.
