CAIRO – 26 March 2022: Scores of people performed the funeral prayer in Omar Makram Mosque in Cairo on the soul of Ragaei Ateya, head of Egypt’s Lawyers’ Syndicate and the Arab Lawyers Union (ALU), who passed away on Saturday aged 84.

Ateya passed away after falling unconscious while attending a trial in a Giza court. Sources said Ateya was then moved by a hospital to a near hospital, where it was found that he had died by natural causes.
