Cairo Metro operates one more hour due to Egypt-Senegal World Cup qualifying match

CAIRO – 25 March 2022: The Greater Cairo Metro Company decided to extend the working hours of the three lines of the metro for one more hour because of the Egypt-Senegal World Cup qualifying match at 9:30 PM local time on Friday.
 
In a statement on Thursday evening, the company said that the last train in the first line would take off from Helwan metro station at 12:18 am, southern Cairo, to New El Marj station.
 
As for the second line between Shubra Al-Khaimah station (Northern Cairo, and from Al-Moneeb (Giza governorate), the last metro would depart at 12:40 am. The last metro of the Abbassyia-Cairo Airport third line would take off 1:00 am.
 
The metro company stated that the last trains between the first and second lines will be met at Anwar El-Sadat station, downtown Cairo, at 1:00 am, while the last trains between the second and third lines will be met at Ataba station at 12:55 am.
