CAIRO – 17 March 2022: Chief of Staff Osama Askar received his Sudanese counterpart Mohamed Othman in Cairo as part of the eight meeting of the Egyptian-Sudanese military Committee on Wednesday.

The two generals and their delegations discussed furthering military cooperation, joint training, and exchange of expertise.

Othman emphasized the historic tires of the two countries, praising the Egyptian efforts to support security, stability, and development in Sudan. He added that there is agreement on a common strategy to achieve the interests of Egypt and Sudan.

For his part, Askar said their visions converge, and that he is looking forward to more cooperation in all fields in the framework of the strong relationship of the two counties. He added that what has been agreed upon in the talks is in line with the ambitions of the two nations in terms of security and stability.
