President Sisi welcomes Nicolas Sarkozy during his holiday in Egypt

CAIRO – 21 February 2022: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is spending a holiday in Egypt, at Al Itihadiya presidential palace in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry.

 

The president welcomed Sarkozy who is visiting the country with his family, expressing appreciation for his former contributions to strengthening bilateral ties. Similarly, the president commended the current positive trajectory of the Egyptian-French relations on all levels.

President Sisi has been to the French city of Brest, to participate in the “One Ocean Summit” on February 17. The summit is one of a series held on environment issues, and organized by France at an initiative by President Emmanuel Macron, since 2017.
