What to know about under construction city 'New Suez'

CAIRO – 9 February 2022: Constructions are underway in the New Suez city, which spans over 2,000 feddans (one feddan equals 4,500 square meters). The following are the little information known about it.

The first phase of the project stretches on 300 feddans, and will house 86 flat-buildings. The size of each unit is planned to be 90 square kilometers. Yet, ongoing works are still in the stage of introducing infrastructure.

New Suez is one of 17 fourth-generation cities Egypt is introducing for the first time ever. That is in addition to 14 regular ones as the purpose of building those 31 cities is coping with overpopulation.
