CAIRO – 6 February 2022: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry met Sunday with his Madagascar counterpart Patrick Rajoelina to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, and conferring over matters of mutual interest.

 

That is on the sidelines of the 35th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly convening in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

 

The summit is addressing various issues and themes on the continental scene, including the state of peace and security on the continent and facing the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic and climate change phenomena, as well as economic and continental integration.

 

In November, the chairmanship of COMESA was passed from Madagascar to Egypt.
