CAIRO – 12 July 2017: The Frontline Club has received a £ 3 million “bribe” in the form of a “donation” from Qatar to organize activities and seminars to defend the Qatari news network Al Jazeera, sources from the Gulf region revealed to Egypt Today on Tuesday.

Under the title of “The Al Jazeera Case”, the club announced that a seminar will take place on July 17 to address the recent events in Qatar and Arab countries’ demands of shutting down Al Jazeera.

“The evening will explore how the media outlet is being used as a bargaining chip in an ongoing geopolitical struggle, and the controversies surrounding the Arabic network,” the club’s website added.

Wadah Khanfar, ex-director general at Al Jazeera Media Network, and BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner will take part at the event as key speakers.

The Frontline Club is a media club near London's Paddington Station.
