CAIRO- 3 February 2022: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who is the head of the Permanent Higher Committee for Human Rights, calls upon all concerned officials at the Ministry to implement the national strategy of human rights at the political, economic and social levels without discrimination, said Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, on Twitter on Wednesday evening.
 
Shoukry also called on them to coordinate with the concerned bodies of the state and the civil society to implement the national strategy in its four axes, Hafez added.
 
The strategy includes the main axes of the comprehensive concept of human rights, which is to be integrated with Egypt's national development path that consolidates the principles of the establishment of the New Republic and achieves the goals of Egypt's vision 2030, said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.
 
At the launch of Egypt’s 1st national human rights strategy in September, Sisi announced that 2022 is a year of civil society.
He confirmed that the participation of the civil society in raising awareness of human rights is indispensable, saying “awareness is one of the most important elements for human rights.”
