CAIRO - 27 January 2022: Al Azhar announced Thursday the launching of its first version of the Holy Quran in Braille at its pavilion within the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF).
Under the auspices of the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el-Tayyeb, Al Azhar's publishing house adopted the project to print the Holy Quran in Braille.
The move came as part of Al Azhar's role in supporting blind and visually impaired individuals, Al Azhar said in a statement.
Al Azhar is taking part in the fair for the sixth time in a row.
The event is held at the Egypt Center for International Conventions and Exhibitions and lasts until February 7.
