Egypt’s FM to meet with US Special Envoy to Horn of Africa David Satterfield in Cairo

CAIRO - 24 January 2022: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will meet with Mr. David Satterfield, the US Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, on Tuesday in Cairo, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Monday.

 

Early January, the US named Satterfield as the US Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, succeeding Ambassador Jeffrey Feltman, who embarked on a tour of the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Egypt in December 2021 for discussing the international efforts to end the ongoing conflict in Ethiopia, Reuters quoted State Department spokesperson Ned Price as saying.
