CAIRO - 17 January 2022: Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry  participated, on Monday, via videoconference in the ministerial consultative meeting between the AU Peace and Security Council and the African members of the UNSC, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez.
 
 
On behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in an online speech at a meeting of the African Union's Executive Council on Saturday, Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Mabdouli said that President Sisi called for formulating a clear African strategy to eliminate terrorism and to dry up its sources of financing.
 
President Sisi highlighted Egypt's endeavor to provide assistance to the African countries by intensifying training courses for their people, combating terrorism, and participating in UN peacekeeping missions, through the Sahel and Sahara Counter-terrorism Centre in Cairo, Madbouli said.
