CAIRO – 24 December 2021: Egypt reported 10 coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday, said the Health Ministry, the lowest count in the country since 15 September.

This raises the total coronavirus deaths since the pandemic started in Egypt in February to 21,510

Egypt reported 883 coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours, raising the total number of cases to 378,843.

Also, 542 left hospitals after recovering from the virus, raising the total of recoveries to 314,994.

During the Cabinet's meeting on Thursday, Acting Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stated that there are currently 62 million anti-COVID-19 vaccine doses available for use.

The minister added that the number of citizens who got the first dose only is 33.8 million while those who received the second one amount to 20 million.
