CAIRO- 17 December 2021:  UAE billionaire business tycoon Majid Al Futtaim, the owner of the Majid Al Futtaim Group (MAF), passed away on Friday.
 
The late billionaire's company established several enormous real estate projects including the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai, and the Mall of Egypt that opened in March 2017 in the 6th of October city, besides that his company is operating 13 hotels and 62 malls.
 
Forbes ranked him and his family number 4 of the richest businessmen in the Middle East in 2020, as his net wealth was estimated at $ 3.3 billion.
 
 
UAE  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, mourned Futtaim’s death, saying that Futtaim was a creative businessman and one of the most important Dubai traders.  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added that Futtaim’s last decision was hiring 3000 citizen
 

An official at the MAF told Cairo 24 that the company’s work will remain unchanged.
