Youth Love Egypt launches Egyptian Federation for Climate Change

CAIRO - 16 December 2021: Youth Love Egypt Foundation launched Thursday the Egyptian Federation for Climate Change during the opening session of the African Climate Alliance Conference taking place in Sharm el-Sheikh.

 

Under the title “Outcomes of Climate Summit 26 in Glasgow and the route to Sharm el-Sheikh Summit,” the federation was launched with the participation of more than 25 associations and institutions.

 

The opening session was attended by a number of ministers, and heads of organizations including Egyptian Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad.

 

The opening session addressed Egypt’s preparations for the 27th Climate Summit and its welcome to the African partners, it also highlighted support to civil society efforts industrial activities to adapt to climate change.

 

This event comes on the sidelines of the conference held by the African Alliance in Egypt, from 12 to 18 December, where capacity building was carried out for more than 25 Egyptian associations.

 

Over the next three days, the conference will address the outcomes of the climate summit in Glasgow, and what we expect from the climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, in light of Egypt's presidency of this summit.
