CAIRO - 11 July 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Monday met Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs Makale Camara on the sidelines of the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Cote d'Ivoire.

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said Shoukry thanked Camara for efforts made by Guinean President and current African Union chairman Alpha Conde to support Egypt's candidate for the post of UNESCO Director General Moushira Khattab.

The two ministers discussed bilateral relations in various areas, including the transfer of expertise and capacity building through the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) of the Foreign Ministry, as well as cooperation in the field of security and combating terrorism and extremist thought the leading role of Al Azhar and Dar al Iftaa in this regard.
