CAIRO – 4 December 2021: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi congratulated the UAE on the occasion of the nation’s 50th National Day.

Sisi said he congratulates the UAE people and leadership on his behalf and on behalf of the Egyptian people.

“Over the past years, the UAE has presented a unique model of development, urbanization and technological modernization,” Sisi said on Facebook.

“While I congratulate the dear people of the Emirates on this precious occasion, I affirm that our relations are witnessing more strength and durability, and together we will continue to strengthen them to achieve the interests of our peoples and our nation,” Sisi added.

Late in November, Sisi received a phone call from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

“The call touched on a number of issues pertinent to bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries,” said Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi in a statement.

Both leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

“There was an agreement to continue coordination and consultation between the two sides to serve the interest of both countries and peoples and to support security and stability in the region,” Radi added.
