In bid to develop Railway system, Egypt provides free Wi-Fi internet service at Ramses train station

CAIRO – 1 December 2021: Egypt’s Railways Authority has started providing a free Wi-Fi internet service inside Ramses Train Station, by contacting all telecommunications companies to provide this service for free inside the station.

 

Providing free Wi-Fi internet services in the station is considered one of the means of maximizing the value-added services of the railway facility, increasing its resources and attracting different segments of the public, said the Railway Authority.

 

It further added that this service will add to the global image of the station and the transport sector in general before visitors, citizens and tourists .

 

Nouran Al-Helou, the project supervisor, said that this service is available 24 hours a day for all citizens, and it is planned to expand to the main stations to entertain passengers and improve the service.

 

The Ministry of Transport had said that this step comes within the framework of developing the services of the National Authority for Egypt’s Railways and seeking to provide welfare for the public of the Ramses station of Egypt to match the international train stations’s standards.
