CAIRO – 15 November 2021: The World Youth Forum (WYF), an annual event that gathers youth from different parts of the world in Egypt, is back after its 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic.

“You better get ready and pack your bags; you read that right! WE ARE BACK…Back to peace, creativity, and development on the land of magic and peace, Egypt,” the WYF wrote on Facebook.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdowns worldwide, “we worked relentlessly to get our world back by dedication, commitment, hard work, we didn’t give up,” the WYF said.

“Better environment, better health, better world,” the WYF added.

The World Youth Forum is a free platform held annually since 2017 in Egypt.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated the forum over three consecutive years in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh, South Sinai.

In 2020, the forum was canceled due to the pandemic.

The forum brings together youth from different parts of the world together with decision makers and different influential officials.

“The forum is a chance for you to engage with top policy-makers in the region and network with promising youth in the region and the world that are determined to create change in the world we live in today,” the WYF says.

“The forum is also a chance to explore Egypt with its rich culture, heritage and history,” the forum adds.
