CAIRO - 14 November 2021: Outgoing Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Noke Masaki said Sunday he is confident Egypt would achieve further progress in the future and its people would become happier.

Masaki will leave Egypt Monday after three years as head of the Japanese diplomatic mission in Cairo.

He posted an Arabic message to the Egyptian people on his facebook page to say goodbye.

“I had hoped that a farewell moment would never occur because I love Egypt and the Egyptians from all my heart,” Masaki said in his message.

“I regret it very much that I won’t be able to attend the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, but I am looking forward to … visiting it soon.”
