TEHRAN - 10 July 2017: The Russian Embassy in Tehran said on Monday Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Ryabkov will hold talks with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday in Tehran.

Ryabkov's talks in Tehran will focus on implementing the joint plan of action concerning Iran's nuclear program, Russia Today news channel cited a source in the Russian diplomatic mission in Tehran as saying.

In July 2015, Iran and six world powers reached a historic agreement to settle Iran's nuclear issue.

The joint plan of action has aimed at gradually lifting international sanctions on Iran after ensuring that the country's nuclear program is designed for peaceful purposes.

The United States continues to impose a large part of its sanctions on Iran due to its missile program, human rights violations, and involvement in terrorism financing.
